Why Choose an Independent Doula?
Working directly with an independent doula offers unique benefits for your family.
Why choose an independent doula rather than hire through an agency? You're supporting a small business! Enjoy a more affordable route without the added agency fees that take away from the doulas pay. I don't have an agency I work for which means I've done all the work myself! My dedication and love for my work shows through by the community I have grown from full time nannying for last 5 years. I believe in myself as a doula but also as a successful business owner! It means so much that you're considering me during this exciting time. Reap the benefits of personalized and specialized care catered to your family's unique needs. Whether it's your first child or 2,3,4 I got you covered!

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about postpartum doula services.
When should I book a postpartum doula?
It's best to book a postpartum doula during your pregnancy, ideally in the second trimester. This allows time for us to meet, discuss your needs, and create a personalized care plan before your baby arrives.
What's the difference between a doula and a nanny?
A postpartum doula focuses on both parent and baby care during the transition period after birth, providing education and support. A nanny primarily provides childcare. Doulas have specialized knowledge about postpartum recovery and newborn development.
How long do families typically use doula services?
Most families use postpartum doula services for 2-12 weeks after birth, with varying frequency. Some prefer intensive support in the first few weeks, while others spread services out over a longer period. Each package can be customized to your needs.
What happens during an overnight shift?
During overnight shifts, I care for your baby between feedings so you can get restorative sleep. For breastfeeding mothers, I bring baby to you for feeds and handle diaper changes and soothing. For bottle-feeding families, I can handle complete nighttime care.
